Alejandro Anreus was born in Havana, Cuba, and received his Ph.D. in art history from the Graduate Center, City University of New York. He is the author of various books, ranging from art and politics in Latin America between the World Wars to Orozco’s years in New York City. In summer 2014 his monograph on Cuban-American painter Luis Cruz Azaceta will be published as part of the “A Ver” series. His next book project is entitled
Havana in the 1940s: Artists, Critics and Exhibitions.
